Licenses

What are my LAND4 license options?

All LAND4 licenses run on subscriptions and are floating network licenses hosted on a cloud based license server.

Can I use LAND4 without a license?

Yes – you can use it to read drawings made with a licensed LAND4 version.

An unlicensed version of LAND4 works a bit like the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You (and others) will need to have LAND4 installed to see LAND4 objects in a drawing.*

You will be able to erase and move individual LAND4 objects, but all “live” relations with/interdependency on other LAND4 objects will be gone.

To get an unlicensed version, go to our Downloads page, download the LAND4 version matching your current ARCHICAD version and operating system. Install on your machine – and you are ready to read.

*In LAND4 spot levels, fall lines, LANDSurfaces and ridge lines are all created as objects.

Is it possible to try out LAND4 before investing?

Yes – you can try LAND4 for 30 days for free.

The trial version is a fully functional version of LAND4 including all available LAND4 features.

  1. Get your LAND4 demo license here.
  2. Download the LAND4 version matching your operation system.
I am a student. Do you have a license for me?

Yes – if you are a student, you can get a free LAND4 Student License to use throughout your time of study. Copy of valid student ID is required. Send by mail to support@land4cad.com.

The LAND4 Student License unlocks all available LAND4 features.

  1. Get your LAND4 Student License here.
  2. Download the LAND4 version matching your operation system.
Can I still make changes in my LAND4 projects if I stop subscribing?

With an unlicensed LAND4 version you will be able to see LAND4 objects created with a licensed version. You will be able to erase and move individual LAND4 objects, but all “live” relations with/interdependency on other LAND4 objects will be gone. Essentially this means, you will be able to open and see old jobs, but not be able to make any extensive changes.

Should the need to go back and work on an old LAND4 job arise, our one-month subscription could be an option.

What if I need to get a second license?

Should you need additional licenses, you can just order them in our web shop.

We will then add the new license(s) to your online license server and immediately thereafter it/they will be up and running.

The license file to load is the one you already have.

Error message when loading license file - why?

1. Are you online?

To load your LAND4 license file, you will need to have an active internet connection and to be online every time you start up ARCHICAD.

The reason for this is that your license file needs to be able to contact your cloud based online license server to be verified and to check out a license.

2. Online, but still not working …

For LAND4 to work, two specific ports in your firewall must be open (outbound, LAN to WAN). Usually, this does not present a problem, but should you need to identify them, here is how:

A. Demo license users

As a demo license user, you do not yet have access to your cloud based license server. Please contact us at support@land4cad.com, and we will get back to you with the port numbers in question as quickly as possible.

B. Subscribers

As a subscriber, you do have access to your cloud based license server.

Link and login info can be found in your completed order email and on your account page.

  1. Log in to your online license server.

3. Online, ports open, but still not working?

Please let us know at support@land4cad.com., and we will help you figure out why.

What to do with the license server info in my order mail?

The license server info offers you access to your online license server dashboard.

For your everyday use of LAND4, you don’t need it. It’s an option especially relevant to e.g. system administrators allowing them to view the current status of the license server as well as server log files and edit server options.

The dashboard looks like this:

How do I uninstall LAND4?

To uninstall LAND4, go to your Graphisoft Add-ons folder and delete the LAND4 folder found there. That’s it. On a Windows machine running ARCHICAD 20, the path would typically be:
C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\ARCHICAD 20\Add-Ons
